The Waiting List

Rainbow takes children from the ages of 2.5 to 4 years old. We may therefore contact you with news of a place when your child is younger than other Pre-Schools in the area. If you do not need a place until your child turns three, please just let us know.

We allocate places on a first-come, first-served basis and not using catchment areas. Children already attending Rainbow are offered places for the next academic year before we contact those on the waiting list.

Most of our places are offered to those on the waiting list in February and March each year, to start the following September. However, a small number of places do tend to become available throughout the year.

All children are entitled to a government-funded place from the term following their third birthday. For children under this age, you will be informed of the fees for the year and given a monthly standing order form. Tonia Simper, our Finance Manager, will write to formally confirm your place and will give you all the details you need. If you have any questions regarding fees or funding, please contact her through the office.

Our waiting list Coordinators are Lucy Daybell & Lisa Brown, who can be contacted below.

Children with Additional Needs

Rainbow aims to provide an environment in which all children, including those with special educational needs, are supported to reach their full potential. We have two members of staff who are designated as SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and all our staff receive regular in-house training so that we can provide the very best care and support to children and their parents or guardians.
