The staff have a wide variety of childcare experience and are very committed to the children and Rainbow. We are constantly updating our training and keeping in touch with new developments in early years care and education.

All parents/carers are welcome to take their turn as helpers. A board is displayed in the Quiet Room and parents/carers are welcome to place their name up on it for two or three sessions per term.

A committee of parents is formed on a voluntary basis at the beginning of each school year. Being a member of the committee gives parents a chance to be more involved in Rainbow. The committee is responsible for employing staff and for the administration of the Pre-school. This includes dealing with the Pre-school finances and maintaining the general upkeep of the resources. The committee meet about once a month. Without a committee Rainbow is unable to open.

The Pre-school is registered with OFSTED and is regularly visited and inspected by them. We have had several very positive inspections by OFSTED. A current copy is available to view at Rainbow or on the OFSTED website. The latest one from November 2007 rated the Preschool as 'Outstanding'.

We are in close contact with the Early Years Services and we are also members of the national and local Pre-School Learning Alliance with whom we have regular contact, allowing us to keep up to date with the latest issues and training opportunities.
